Why Journaling?
Journaling is one of the most powerful and accessible practices available for self discovery and self care. Writing things down gives us some distance from them. We can stand outside of our emotional issues and see them more clearly. We can write down goals and objectives and train our brain to carry these ‘instructions’ out. We can record events and occurences of the day, either to look back on later as a memory prompt or as a way to track our progress along our life path.
Writing allows us to slow our minds down and to spend valuable time listening to ourselves. A journal is a reliable, trustworthy friend that will always be there for us, ready to listen and to help us see ourselves more clearly.
